Lilly Belle's First Easter

Miss Lillian, you had quite a fun first Easter. We spent the morning with Daddy and we were very excited to show you that the Easter Bunny came to visit you and brought you your first basket of gifts! Mommy also spent the morning car ride to Olympia teaching you as much about Jesus and Easter as she could...

{Easter Basket Goodies: "Each Peach Pear Plum" book, Bubble Wand, Minnie Mouse Easter Bunny, Banana Puffs, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Soundtrack & Songs and Story Little Mermaid CD}

It took you about 3 seconds before you had everything out of your basket and you were already deciding what you wanted to chew on first (you're getting your 2nd tooth).

"Hmmm...these guys look familiar. My parents tell me I like this show..."

Daddy let you chew on your basket for a whole of 1 second before freaking out about it being paint. (smart Daddy)

Look at you lifting off your bottom. You're so close to crawling...any day now.

You are seriously the cutest Easter Bunny I've ever seen, Lillian Belle!

You think your Daddy is hilarious. You were laughing and laughing while he played Peek-A-Boo with you.

You have such a great personality!

I love you guys so so so so much!

We got to the beach house around noon and you and Nana both had your bunny ears on :) ...Minnie too.

You're starting to feel a lot more comfortable letting other people other than Mommy hold you. :)

You love bubbles so I was excited to show you your new bubble wand although, I think I may have enjoyed it today more than you because you were a bit frustrated that you couldn't move to catch them. Pretty soon, Peanut. You're so close!

Your cousins love you so much. Quenton is always at your side making sure you're happy :) He likes to help you with your toys and show you new things. I have a feeling the two of you will be great buddies.

I feel like you look like me a little in this picture. You have my eyes...other than that, you're all Daddy. And as Daddy says, you look like you - of course ;)

You were quite the chatter box during dinner tonight. You got pretty loud too making sure we all knew you were sitting with us ;)

Happy 1st Easter my sweet girl. Jesus loves you and Daddy & I love you. I cannot wait for next Easter when you'll get to help us dye eggs, go on a Easter Egg Hunt & understand your basket a bit more. We need to make it to church next year, too!! You make our lives so much fun, Lilly Belle. We love you!

My 26th Birthday {Weekend} : Part 2

Lilly Belle loved the aquarium! It was worth the money just to see how curious & interested she was with everything. She is such an observant baby to begin with, so it was so neat to see her take it all in.

Then she started to get super tired. She was up from 10:45am until ....hhmmm?? 4? 5pm?

We took a family walk around the Issaquah Highlands. I loved having our whole family together. I cannot wait until we can all 4 be together again all the time. I miss Cogsy so much. I was in heaven having my family together.

On Saturday (April 19) my actual birthday, I had to work and taught 4 classes from 9am-1pm. It was POURING so my plan of going to the Tulip Festival was for sure a no-go. I told Matt while I was at work that I wanted to go to the mall - he laughed and I didn't know why - come to find out, he and Lilly already spent the whole morning at the mall getting me birthday presents :) They surprised me. We went back anyways :)

I got my first "mommy" birthday card, signed by Lilly Belle :) With all the L's backwards. My husband rocks.

Matt got me the Toms I've been wanting for 3 years :)

Mommy Toms & Baby Toms (makes me so happy!!)

We went to the mall and & got a Little Mermaid shirt at the Disney Store and then the whole store sang to me - so cool! Then had lunch/dinner at Red Robin - yummmmm!

Lilly was once again so good at the restaurant. She just chilled in her high chair talking to us :)

And then it was time to head home. At this point, Lilly was wiped out!

I had an amazing 26th birthday thanks to my amazing family.

I love you, Matt. Thank you for making me feel so special. It meant more to me than you know.
And I love you too, Lilly Belle. I had so much fun with you this weekend. You made mommy's birthday extra amazing!

My 26th Birthday {Weekend} : Part 1

We had a crazy fun weekend!
I was super annoyed because my plans were ruined due to weather, but I woke up every morning telling myself - "I'm 26 years old - pull yourself together - roll with the punches!" and...I ended up having a blast with my sweet little family, even when we did such normal everyday things. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

As usual, I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

The day before my birthday (Friday, April 18th) we spent a family day together. We sadly discovered that the top to Lilly's Disneyland PJ's no longer fits so we had a quick photo shoot so we knew for certain we had pictures of her wearing these. They're our favorite :)

After her 2-hour morning nap, we finally got to get ready to go to breakfast
(which ended up being at noon.)

We ate breakfast at my favorite, Sammamish Cafe. I got my favorite - almond crunch french toast (french toast covered in frosted flakes)

kisses from daddy while we waited

Lilly's 1st lemon! - we kind of felt bad after - but also got a kick out of her expressions! At first she loved it and then like 3 seconds later, she quickly changed her mind...

We gave her some Mum Mums and water and she was all good.

After breakfast (lunch) we headed to the Seattle Aquarium.

to be continued...
