Change.

Tomorrow is finally tomorrow and not 3 weeks from now.
Does that make sense?

Tomorrow is a big day for both Matt and I.
I am so so so excited.

Beginning tomorrow evening, Matt will be going to school two nights/week from 5pm-10pm and also taking 1 online class for this quarter. This is on top of working his full-time job.
It's going to get super weird around here and I am going to miss him.

Tomorrow I also start teaching my 11 week Winter Quarter and will be teaching 20 classes/week.
*Note three of those classes are actually coaching hours*
I am excited to meet all the new kids and to start at the new preschool tomorrow afternoon.

Our schedules do not match up at all and we will basically only see each other Friday nights, Saturdays after 1pm and Sundays. The one day I have off (Friday) is the only day of the week Matt has to go into the office. Otherwise he works from home. While he's working from home I'll be gone teaching except to be home for lunch...which...is the time he has conference calls in our office with the door closed. Awesome.

There is a lot of good that comes from this though....
*We are going to really love our time together and appreciate it a lot more.
*Matt will be one quarter closer to graduating, yippee!!! :D
*I am building my program more and more...and more!
*I won't have any more time to be bored, and when I do I'll be happy about it.
*Our electric bill may go down because Matt won't have time to be playing video games and watching as much ESPN lol.

(I do realize I should not be complaining and that it could be a lot worse.)

I like it though. I like being busy. So far, I really like 2012. (Yeah, I know it's only been 2 days lol).

First Turkey & Other News

As promised, here are the photos from our first turkey yesterday. I had so much fun making our first turkey and now feel so confident about it that I told Matt I will be roasting lots of chicken from now on. We had so many great tools that made making the turkey that much easier. One of my dance families bought us a complete turkey making set for our wedding gift {roaster, carving knife, turkey alarms, injector, etc.}
I didn't want to do anything to fancy with my first turkey because I was already so afraid of screwing it up, but I did use the injector! It was awesome. I melted 1/4 cup of butter and poured it into the injector and then injected the butter into 6 different spots in the turkey and watched it plump right before my eyes. So cool!
The turkey turned out to be so incredibly juicy. I was so proud of myself. Katie said it was so yummy and she never lies so I was super excited :) Matt just enjoyed a left-over turkey sandwich for lunch!
I gutted out the turkey, did the injections and also rubbed melted butter between the meat and skin with my hand. I added salt and pepper on top as well as poultry seasoning. I baked the turkey at 325 degrees from 2:30-7:00pm basting it every half an hour. (Matt basted from 5-7 while I was hip hopping away). Katie and I came home (to our house) after work and then it was time to eat! YUM!

{12 lb turkey before}

{Mmmm! After.}

{My First Turkey!}

{It was fun having Tuesday Thanksgiving with Katie!}

{blurry but I love her so I put it anyway :) }

 {Matt and I ready to eat!}

In other news, we just signed Matt up for school full-time. Starting in January he'll go to school every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-10:00pm. He has one class online, too. I'm so excited for him that he'll be able to finally go full-time. I feel like we accomplished a lot saving for this. It felt good to pay, to just take the money from savings and pay. I see lots of chick flicks in my future, Tuesdays and Thursdays will be lonely around here. At least Cogsy can keep me company. Good thing we don't have kids yet, that would be hard.

Matt and I decided to DVR the Macy's Parade tomorrow to watch while we decorate on Friday.
Zeek's Pizza with Chris and Katie tonight for trivia and then tomorrow bright and early we'll head down to Olympia for Thanksgiving : )

Happy Early Turkey Day everyone! {No internet tomorrow}

Yay! Big News!

No, we are not having a baby lol.
But one step closer (the financial-savings step)

I got the job!!!!!!
My business just grew :) Beginning in January, Emerald City Dance will be not only partnering with the Issaquah Community Center, but also with Sammamish Children's School. I will be teaching a 3-5 year olds Creative Movement Dance Class on Tuesdays before my classes in Issaquah.

They handle billing and will be paying me. It's a lot and we're pretending we don't have it....

ALL SAVINGS!
We are so excited about this. I have been dreaming of the day we would have money in our savings account since we moved here and now it is going to happen. (It is super close to happening with what we have now) So this is just a cherry on top! A BIG cherry. I want nothing more than for us to be out of debt so we can work towards saving for a down payment on a house. Living in Issaquah, our down payment will have to be pretty large and has always seemed like something impossible...not anymore!!

I prayed for this. God heard me. I love God.
So theres that. I'm super excited!

*Side Story*
Yesterday I had an awful yucky day. The only time I managed a smile was while I was teaching because, well, it's impossible to NOT smile when I'm with them. It was a dreary day, super Seattle-y.
Today was really nice out, super not-seattle-y.

Anyways, I read my email. Ran and basically tackled Matt in excitement about the news giving him a jump hug lol, and what does he say, "Man, why couldn't today have been a dreary day!"
:'(
I immediately was caught off guard and hurt. I ran off and burst in tears
(this is not uncommon around here).
I thought Matt meant he wished it was dreary because I got overly excited and he was annoyed.
NO...(I really need to remember that not everyone thinks I'm annoying).
He meant he wishes today was the dreary day instead of yesterday so that I would have had a reason to be happier yesterday instead of today when I already had a fabulous day.
Man...I need to chill OUT sometimes.
And...I have the best husband in the world.

Good news day!! We are so happy and I can't wait to start teaching some more little ones : )

Sorry I've been MIA, I was feeling like I was beginning to write some boring blogs.

Tonight we're going to be picking out Matt's classes for this next quarter. We saved enough that he can take 3...full time! Yay! I'm so excited for him :)

Ok, time to go finish my Water for Elephants on my Kindle before the library takes it away :(

I hope everyone enjoyed this wonderful day as much as we did!
(OH...Almost forgot!!--we bought Kinect Disneyland today and have been playing non stop. It's as close as we're going to get to Disneyland until August and it actually may work in holding us over...SO awesome!)

Love,
