Alaskan Disney Cruise: Day 2

Day 2 was our first day at sea. It was pretty foggy all during the morning and afternoon so you could just see right outside the windows. We never got sea sick on our trip and we were very thankful for that. One of our table mate couples both got super sick and had to chill in their room. They had a veranda thankfully.

Matt has a lot of pictures from this day on his camera so I'll have to do separate posts with those later :)

Every morning we had breakfast out on the back of the boat. It was amazing to just be sitting out there eating super yummy food and looking out at the ocean. Like I said in my post last night...we ate a LOT.
Check out these yummy plates!

We ate way too much bacon, it was a running joke with our table mates how much bacon Matt and I had everyday, specifically Matt lol.

Krispy Kreme donuts! No joke.

Then we grabbed some blankets and I wrote in our Disney journal. We have a Disney journal that we write on when we go on Disney trips. One day I will have our kids write in it each night when we get back to our hotel too. It will be so much fun to read it one day :)

This is the adult only area. It is a-mazing. So quiet and relaxing. Everyone respects the rule so much. We never saw a kid in that area once. You can't even hear them either. The Funnel Vision is right next to it but you can't hear that either. It's awesome. My favorite cafe is right there with THE best chai I've ever had...that's saying a lot.

Parrot Cay is a fun Caribbean themed restaurant.

This was the first of our three trivia games we played. (see my chai!) Disney Tunes Trivia. We thought we were going to nail it but we got Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty songs mixed up. We are going to practice before our 2013 cruise!

Getting ready for fancy night :)....Formal Night.

It was like Thanksgiving dinner for me :)

Matt had steak almost every night!

We went to the club that night to listen to a fun band.

The club is called Wave Bands.

Robyn and I. It was 70's night so he has an afro on :)

Tangled on Funnel Vision! Love!!

And again...I'm ready to go back now, but instead...it's time to go teach.

To be Continued....

Alaskan Disney Cruise AKA Best Vacation Ever::Day 1

I don't even know how to start this post...
Matt and I have almost been home for a week now from the best vacation either of us have ever been on our entire lives. That is saying a lot because we have both been on some pretty incredible Disney vacations growing up. Matt told me on the last day that it was his favorite of all time, I love that I got to share that with him.

Our Alaskan Disney Cruise....
started on September 3, 2012 in Seattle, WA.
We woke up and it still hadn't hit me yet.
It didn't hit me until we pulled up and could see the ship right in front of us.
Oh man, it still feels like yesterday and I miss it so much.
I've been having a hard time since we've been back. Leaving Disney is never easy for me, even when I was little. I wish we could go back tomorrow. I'm so thankful that we get to go to Disneyland in just a little over a month.

We arrived and the first thing we saw, other than the ship, was this woman...with her Mickey hand. That's when we knew...we felt right back at home.

Then it was time to board.

I do not have the video ready yet (I am going to create a whole iMovie), but when you take your first steps onto the ship, the cast members ask you your name and then announce you on a microphone with an aisle of other cast members clapping for you as you board. Ex: "Please welcome the Lanese Family!" So we are getting ready to turn the corner to see the inside of the ship for the first time and I started video taping because we knew this was happening due to our research before the cruise and a guy asks our family name...I look up and that same second realize he is one of my good friends from Disney World. We were in the Christmas Parade together. I immediately freaked out, basically attacked him, cried, and then...told him our family name. He was my friend in FL when I first met Matt. He heard lots of my fun stories in the beginning of our dating time in 2008 :) Matt and I went to IHop with him and hung out with him and my friends a few times, so it was neat that Matt knows him too!

Anyways...it was an amazing way to start the cruise. I had a moment of tears, happy/sad, then it was time to start exploring!

We have lots of Little Mermaid pictures from this trip because that's my all-time favorite movie :) I got to meet her and I felt like a little kid again. I've never met her in her human blue/green dress and I was so excited.

We got on the ship pretty early, so we had lots of time to wander around before we were even allowed in our room. So...we headed to our first buffet! (Just a side note...Matt and I both returned home having lost 2 lbs each..how this is possible, I do not know because we ate... A LOT)

We hope to buy this one day. For now, a picture with it will do :)

This area is called "Route 66" and we hung out here quite a bit. They have bands in a room here, comedians, etc. There are also 2 lounges that are adults only after 9pm.

The nicest bathrooms were also over here :) I spent lots of time chillin' in these little seats waiting for Matt lol.

Seattle & Mt. Rainier

Adventures Away Party! We were actually the very first people there and had the front row for the show. After the show everyone was just dancing so we went to the top deck to see the action from above and watch us pull away from the city.

Goodbye, Seattle!

Matt has more pictures from Day 1 on his camera. We had our first dinner at Triton's. Our table mates were absolutely amazing. I miss them all so so much already. I was looking at pictures today and was so sad. We are all now Facebook friends. There were 3 other couples that we became besties with. We didn't just hang out at dinner, we did lots of things together, on and off the ship. *sigh* ... I can't even explain how awesome it was.

I'll write more later. We're going to watch Tangled now :) My 2nd favorite. I'm obsessed.
We watched it on the Funnel Vision (theater screen outside by the pool) on Day 2 and Matt has the coolest picture of me all bundled up chillin' and watching it :)

To be continued.....Flynn's talking now ; )

Mel & Clint's Wedding!

This already seems like forever ago, but on September 2nd, Mel & Clint got married!! Yay for having a new brother. He's already been our big brother but it felt pretty cool seeing him today knowing that, "Ok, this really is our whole family now." Well...until we all start popping out babies. :)
Mel & Clint are now married and got to honeymoon in St. Thomas! I can't wait to see all of their pictures and hear about what they did.

We had so much fun celebrating at their wedding.
It was also our first anniversary and it was such a special day. We had a blast! September 2nd is a pretty special day in our family now :)

We just got back from our Disney Cruise on Monday (which already feels like yesterday) and I'm just now getting a chance to sit down and write about this.
I have tons of pictures and stories to share about our cruise as well, but I'm just going to blog about one special day at a time. We leave for Whistler in 6 days and I'm hoping to have everything all up to date on this blog before we leave for that vacation ; )

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mel & Clint's wedding weekend began on Saturday, September 1st. Really it started the week before. I got to help Mel & Marie do wedding stuff, we went tanning and got our nails done together. It was so much fun! I loved every second of it.
Their rehearsal brunch was over at Clint's parent's house and it was beautiful. They own a farm and bed & breakfast called Raspberry Ridge. Clint's stepmom had everything so beautifully laid out and the food was yummy :) They hired friends to help out and they all had cute matching aprons. Very fun.

After the rehearsal and brunch, Matt went with his Dad to get stuff from the condo to bring to Seattle at the hotel and I went with Mel and her friends to Red Robin for dinner :)
Matt and I spent the night back at our place because we still hadn't taken Cogsy to the doggy hotel.

On the morning of September 2nd, which was also our First Anniversary, Matt and I went to breakfast at Etta's which is a super nice restaurant in Seattle by the market. We had yummy food with fresh squeezed orange juice. We had fun dreaming about what our Disney Cruise would be like the next day and just had fun together.

Then it was game time ; ) We headed back to the hotel so I could be with Mel, Mom & all the bridesmaids. We all had silk robes that matched our dresses and got to get our hair done. Megan and I also had fun doing our makeup together :) We watched Bridesmaids and sipped Mimosas. Yum, Yum!

I love this picture :)

Tada :)

Mel looked so beautiful! Matt and I agree that our favorite moment that day was seeing her walk down the stairs by herself to meet her parents at the bottom.
(I was having a hard time not bawling my eyeballs out).

Matt looked super handsome!

I want to frame this one :) We had a great 1st Anniversary

Marie's Shoes, Mel's Shoes, My Shoes :)

Chillin' before the ceremony

Gorgeous!

Already downed 2 glasses of wine at this point ; )

Nice photo bomb, Chris.

Mel and Clint called us up to say Happy Anniversary and gave us our wedding cupcakes :) So so special!

The cupcakes we had at our wedding so we could eat them on our 1st Anniversary, very cool :)

We never had any at our wedding, boy were we missing out! YUM! I also had Mel & Clint's cake lol. Carrot...Mmmmm!!!!

I love this one.

The Bride & Groom getting their groove on!

We had SO much fun!

And just like he did at our wedding...Lance danced with us too :)

It was a fabulous day from the time we woke up until the time we fell asleep!
We got to stay in a suite at the hotel and had water views. Thank you, Lance & Marie :)

Amazing day!!! September 2nd is on a roll for amazing days ; )
