Our Honeymoon Pt. 3

Here are the last of our honeymoon photos. We had such an incredible time and I'm already counting down the days until we go back (no, not literally.) I love knowing it's somewhere we can go and just relax. It was such a great place for us to focus only on us and put everything else away. I am so looking forward to our next adventure together...a weekend in Vancouver will most likely be next (have to wait for my name to officially change.) Anyways, here are the rest of the pictures with some more captions...

We bought matching hoodies!! and...discovered "Nuts and Bolts" in the trunk!

We loved biking down to the marina and the horse ranch. The views were unbelievable and I wanted so badly to go horseback riding (we didn't know we needed pants...so next time).

Matt loved his grill! He grilled out every night. Steak, chicken and pork chops :) We also grilled veggies for the first time and will be doing that a lot more now. So yummy.

The pool was so relaxing. It was so nice the day after Labor Day everyone was gone and we pretty much had the pool to ourselves. The views of the golf course and mountains were unbelievable while lounging by the pool and I loved it. Matt had his iPad and Angry Birds and I was all set with my magazines.

This is our favorite picture...we are going to enlarge it to hang in our home...It captures our honeymoon perfectly. (and...our bikes were awesome)

I also love this one :) This was my view the whole trip...Matt always led the way.

We went to eat ice cream at Goody's. It is a fun old ice cream and candy parlor. It doesn't beat
Beaches N Cream, but...it was close :)

There was a very nice old man who saw us together and came up to us to ask if we wanted our picture taken. We told him we were on our honeymoon and he told us he was there with his family. He has been coming to Sunriver for 60 years, before it was ever a resort. Him and his wife now own a home there and they bring their grandchildren there. Matt and I would love to be able to do that someday. Before he walked away I gave his granddaughter the cherry off of my sundae :)...(after she asked her grandpa if she could have it lol...) very cool story. The man, not the cherry.

We had our very first picnic together!! Our whole honeymoon was very "The Notebook"

Our house was great and we hope to get to stay in it again next summer!

Leaving was sad...we didn't know what to expect coming home. Would things still be stressful? ...the answer is ---- Nope! Things have been wonderful. Being a newlywed is the best!

3 Paper Birch Lane

Our ride home was so beautiful. We drove through Warm Springs (Radiator Springs! Cars Land!)

We are now home and all settled. We moved Matt into my office so now it is "our" office. We share our extra large desk and face each other when we work everyday :) We love being married!

Our Honeymoon Pt. 2

We have now been home for a full day and even though we were both working all day playing catch up, compared to the craziness that was last month, we still feel like we're on our honeymoon! Here are the rest of the pictures and fun stories from our honeymoon!

On our first day there we had a great time exploring The Village, eating yummy food and best part of all....getting our bikes!

I loved all the little shops in The Vilage. They have an awesome book store and Matt let me stay in there for a long time. I bought a journal so that I could make sure I remember all of our wedding and honeymoon memories. I also wanted to start one fresh now that we're married. We also bought matching Sunriver hoodies! For lunch we ate at The Village Bar and Grill. Matt loved his Philly Cheese Steak and I my Praline Pecan Apple Salad. Yummmm...

After exploring The Village, it was time to explore the rest of our beautiful honeymoon location. We had a blast riding our bikes all around the resort, our legs were killing us by the end of each day. We didn't mind though, it was so much fun!

Day #2 we were up and ready to go on our 6 mile canoe ride down the Deschutes River. We had been canoeing together once before when we lived in Florida and it didn't go so well...this time was another story. We worked great as a team and enjoyed every second of the ride...well, almost every second. Matt had a minute (felt like 10) of freaking out and screaming at me because a bee was flying around our canoe. All I remember was him screaming and telling me "ROW..GO..CHELSEA..GO!" I rowed my little arms as fast as I could while trying to not be mad at him for screaming at me. He apologized immediately and from then on we didn't go near the edge of the river by the grass :) It is a really funny memory looking back now. The entire ride was beautiful and there was so much to look at. I had a fun time teasing Matt about jumping in. He's really afraid of open water and didn't want to even think about me swimming in the river (I learned how to swim in a lake). Every time I would see cool things in the water or point out how shallow we were or how I was running my hand in the seaweed he would freak out. It's really funny to think about now. Here are some of our canoeing pictures! Definitely one of our favorite honeymoon memories. It took almost 2 hours so it was a big part of our day and memory. It was neat to be on a river with no one around us feeling like we were the only two in the world.

I am again distracted from this blog, so we are going to be continued again... I'll get through our honeymoon eventually. I'm enjoying dragging out the memories :)

Our Honeymoon Pt. 1

Matt and I just got home from our honeymoon and could not feel more happy or relaxed than we feel right now. We have so much to look forward to now and so many incredible memories from our honeymoon as well as our wedding day. It feels so amazing to know that our wedding is now behind us and that we are in the beginning of our marriage. We're newlyweds and loving every second. I will blog more about our wedding when we get our photos from our photographer. Our honeymoon is so fresh in my mind right now and I want to share that before I forget the fun details (my short term memory is terrible).

Here are photos from the hotel we stayed at on our wedding night, Cedarbrook Lodge. It is a beautiful hotel tucked away in the loveliness that is SeaTac. We couldn't believe how peaceful our hotel was and how in a matter of seconds you go from the city to feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere. Our hotel room was a suite tucked away at the end of the hallway in a seperate building. We walked in a couldn't believe that our hotel room was almost as big as our apartment! We got free ice cream at night and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Here are a few photos...

It was then time for us to leave...when we got out to the car, this is what we found! (Thanks Mom Lanese!)

Then it was time to hit the road :) After a short pit stop at home and dropping off Matt's tux we were headed to Sunriver, OR for our honeymoon! The drive down was so pretty. Unfortunately by the time we got to the really pretty stuff it was dark, but we got that on the way home. Matt loved the road trip and I tried (I get super sleepy on long car rides and we forgot my Kindle).
Here is an awesome photo we got of Mt. Hood!

We got to Sunriver at around 10pm, stopped at the lodge to check in, then got to see our house for the first time and popped in a movie. 3 Paper Birch Ln. was perfect and we plan to visit each year on (or around) our anniversary weekend. One day we'll need a bigger house but for now it's great.  I hope for a few more years there alone ; ) It's SO relaxing.

to be continued...
