Sunday Recap

We had a really nice week. I can't believe I barely took any pictures. Wednesday we both had terribly busy/stressful days. Wednesdays are my hard day {teach 2-3's, nanny, teach 4-6's--poms--boys hip hop} and Matt had craziness at work, and I mean up until 3am the night before and awake at 6am kind of craziness...yuck! We did get to end our day with our weekly Trivia Night at Zeek's with Chris & Katie. We love spending time with them and have so much fun at Trivia {our team, the Radar Runners, stink } but it's not about that : )
Thursday was a lot less stressful for both of us. Matt had a normal day and I just coached at night. Following coaching I had my first team parent meeting {it was a milestone in my book}. It was a huge success. Thank goodness I have non "Dance Moms" moms...well, so far ; ) They did get me with a few on the spot questions that I felt my face flush as I struggled for a good answer, but I pulled through and they are all very happy mom's...and dad's! I have my future National Champions here. Everyday, even my 5 and 6 year olds are blowing me away...{flat splits, turns, leg holds [holding their leg to their nose], etc.} Whoa!
Friday night we went and visited Haliam and the kids! We ordered Zeek's {can't ever have enough Zeek's lol} and just had a nice night hanging out with them. I got to put Maclin to bed with Haley and being able to give him good night hugs and kisses was the best! *sigh* I miss them. SuzyLou was running all over the place in her new twinkle toes light up shoes...it was hilarious. And Miss Charlie was as adorable as ever...{she's really getting tall}. It was perfect.

But seriously...where has the time gone? Look how little they were almost 3 years ago when I met them! {makes me sad} {but the happiest person ever when we come over and am greeted with them clinging to my legs! Best. thing. ever!}

Baby Mac {15 Mo.} Lunch Time!

Miss Charlotte {Age 3} Alki Beach

 Anyways...

Yesterday was a football day for Matt and I taught until 1pm. Last night we went to Red Robin for dinner and splurged and got beers :) then walked over to see Moneyball! Best movie I've seen in a long time, I definitely recommend it.

Today is awesome. Woke up at 10:30. Matt made eggs and toast and I made myself pumpkin pancakes and tripled the batter so I have some for the whole week...score. Now I'm just reading blogs and having a cup of coffee.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Making Our Apartment Our HOME

Now that everything wedding is feeling long gone, we are working on making our apartment feel a lot more like our home. {The things Matt has been working on are the big things we're saving for --couch, entertainment center, etc.} I am having a lot of fun spending my time on this project. I need something to work on always and this is so rewarding. I am feeling so proud of where we live and am completely 100% happy with our place. Cogsworth had an accident on our curtains {that I loved} and Matt tried to be super helpful by washing [and drying] them before I got home...I came home to beautiful teal blue shrunken curtains lol. We took them down and I'm going to work on making them into pillow covers for our couch. So, yesterday I took my nanny girls on a trip to Target and we bought new curtains. This time, just white.

Our fireplace is almost complete. When our wedding pictures are all done, it will be perfect! Here is how it looks now. {Like our little trick-or-treater?}

Here is how that whole wall looks right now with our gallery wall {my favorite}
We still need a nice buffet table to go on that wall.

I have pictures now of our second chalkboard! I hung it up in our hallway to our kitchen right next to our laundry room {closet}. I am in love. Matt loves it too : ) I still want to paint the frame. We're not fans of gold, but until I am for sure on the color we're going to leave it.

This is the extent of excitement around here lol. Ooo I also hung white valances up in our kitchen nook. I usually don't like valances, but we barely get any light on that side of our apartment as it is so, I did it. They're cute with the yellow walls and Disneyland art everywhere. But yeah, like I said...exciting stuff.
As soon as my name is done getting changed I can get my enhanced drivers license and we're going to have a weekend getaway in Vancouver. I hear theres good shopping there!!

Time to go coach. Just about 1 more week until our Halloween Party...can't wait!

It All Started With A Mouse...

I was so excited when some of our guests told us that during our ceremony, Mickey Mouse was in the sky. How perfect?

We love the quote, "It all started with a mouse" - Walt Disney.
It did.
Without Walt Disney World, Matt and I may have never met. Add in a few more factors that brought us both there and our roommates who brought us together, but in the end...it's all because of the mouse.

How perfect that Mickey was with us on our day ; )

I mean really...how cool is that?!

{thank you for the photos, Autumn!}
I love not only that it was there, but that our guests caught it and knew how special it would be to us : )

I am still dying to see our wedding photos from our photographer. Our sneak preview of the 6 we have is definitely not enough. I'll be even more excited to watch our video!! We'll have to have a move party...{any excuse to get to host!}

Wonderful Weekend!

We had such a nice, relaxing weekend. Friday night we did absolutely nothing, which is sometimes a good thing. I get a little bored on days like that...that's when I go to town with our apartment and crafts. My projects on Friday were our fireplace mantel, our gallery wall and also creating a framed chalkboard. I'm so excited about the way all three projects have turned out. Here is our new chalkboard. I love it because I've wanted to make one for a really long time. It is also special because it used to be a framed painting that belonged to Matt's grandma who just passed away. It is now something we will enjoy for a long long time. Here is the first board...

I'll post mantel and gallery wall photos tomorrow when there is better lighting to take pictures.
It's really starting to feel like a home here. We love, love, love this apartment and are really hoping our rent doesn't go up too much at the end of our lease. We really want to stay here for as long as we can. Matt gave me the ok today to go ahead and paint some more because we want to definitely stay here longer. {I have so much up my sleeve for this place...you'll see!}

On Saturday we woke up and headed over to meet Katie and Chris to ride with them to Salmon Days. I love Salmon Days and was so excited to finally get to watch the parade this year. We had a great time with them and met some of Katie's childhood friends. We didn't end up staying to walk around but we did head over to the Issaquah Farmer's Market with them followed by Lowe's.
Here are some awesome parade photos : )

My husband, a parade, friends & hot chocolate...what could be better?

I'm confused...is this a Disney parade?? {float driver}

Radio Disney!

Perfect "Small town feeling" parade!

These are my amazing $5.00 flowers from the market. I saw a woman in line with them and I asked the man to make me the same..I can't believe it was just $5.00...they are beautiful and full! {love}

After the parade and market we headed over to get a storage unit to share with Katie and Chris. I am so excited to get all of our stuff out of our office and in there. We were going to do it today and just didn't get around to it. Tomorrow maybe??

At night we all headed our own ways for a bit and then Katie and I met back up and had dinner at Cucina Cucina in Issaquah. Yummmm! Linguini and Meatballs...sooo good! Then I had a tummy ache so just headed home instead of watching a movie after : (

Today was again super chill. I am loving this weather right now and Matt is loving his football. I finished our fall wreath today. I want to hang it tomorrow and then I'll post pictures of that as well. Now BLTA's and Sweet Potato Fries for dinner...mmmmmm!!!

Hope you all had a good weekend!!
