Our Valentine's Weekend

We had a really nice weekend.
This is our first Valentine's Day being a married couple :)
I can't believe we've almost been married for 6 months. That went fast and slow.
Looking at our wedding pictures I can still remember it like it was yesterday, but at the same time, so much has happened since then. Things are really great around here.
We're getting things taken care of and it feels great.
Stresses that we've had for the past few years are finally going away...one check at a time :)
Every time we pay something off we have a little celebration, it's a great feeling.

Friday night we spent time over at Chris and Katie's. We had salad, pizza and wine. Avery is such a little button :) We enjoyed each others company and played Disney Scene It (me, Chris & Katie vs. Matt)..hehe, he almost beat us too.

Yesterday, Saturday, I taught 3 classes in the morning and then came home and caught up on more "Once Upon a Time" episodes, my new favorite show. Then Matt took me out on our surprise date. We went to Blue C Sushi and splurged instead of just getting cucumber and avocado rolls on the $1.50 plates lol.

(mmm California Rolls!)

(I love this man more and more every single day...)

After, the plan was to go to the piano bar for the romantic part of our date, but....Matt didn't know we needed reservations (oops.) We might go next weekend.
So instead, we went to Lucky Strikes to play air hockey and had some drinks.
We also got a cupcake at Pinkabella (the place that did our wedding cupcakes).
And...we bought an adorable Mickey Mouse onesie/hat set at The Disney Store (Matt's idea). It was way too cute to pass up.
We ended our date night going to see "The Vow". It was okay. Definitely romantic, but we didn't like the end. We had a great time together :)

Today we slept in until like 11:00 because last night we didn't get home until like 1:00am. We were going to go to Poulsbo to explore today, but we decided with our crazy week and sleeping in so late that today would be better spent relaxing together before the craziness starts again tomorrow.

We bought a bottle of wine today and cooked dinner together.
(that is the picture of the dinner we made...we couldn't believe how it turned out....mmmm!)

It. was. amazing. If you like Beef and Broccoli, try this recipe. We won't need to order out ever again :)
It was really fun to make together and then we drank our wine and watched Kim and Kourtney lol (yes, we like the Kardashian's shows).

Now....more wine and The Grammy's :) I'm loving this.
Oh also, Cogsy has pushed his way between us as usual....hehe, he's so stinkin' cute.

Great first Valentine's Day weekend with my hubby!!
