35 Weeks!

Whoa baby!

How Far Along?  35 Weeks (just about a month until August 15th!)

How Big is Baby? According to my What to Expect app, she is the size of a coconut :)

Total Weight Gain: 40 lbs. on the dot.

Maternity Clothes? Always.

Stretch Marks? Still none.

Sleep:  Had some rough nights with the heat and not being able to get comfortable. The only cure now is just time.

Best Moment this Week: (written on Sunday July 7th)...this morning we had our maternity photos taken with my friend Jessica. I cannot wait to see them because I can tell already that they were fabulous! We went to the railroad park and then down to the river in Snoqualmie.

After, we went over to Melissa & Peter's house and had brunch with them and Katie & Adam. We all had so much fun and time got away from us before we all realized we had been sitting outside chatting for a few hours. Katie's the first of the three of us that will have her baby and we're all so excited that it's getting so close to our due dates! We can't wait for our next day with them. Last weekend Melissa came to my shower, this weekend we had brunch and next weekend I'm going to her shower. I'm so happy to have met these girls. Our sweeties are going to get to be such good friends, it's awesome.

Miss Anything: Sleeping on my stomach for sure.

Movement: Still feeling tons of movement everyday.

Food Cravings: No true cravings this week. Just really hungry all the time.

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Matt had to give me a massage during our birthing class and I was trying to get comfortable like everyone else and leaned forward in my chair (everyone else is at least 3 or 4 weeks behind me with smaller bellies) and I thought I was going to be sick.

Gender:  Girl!

Symptoms: Back/Pelvic pain. Heartburn is a new one to add to the list. Super swollen ankles/feet from the heat.

Labor Signs: Had a bit of a scare this week thinking labor may be close, but was quickly reassured after being called in for a doctor appointment that there was nothing to worry about (at all) and we are still on track for a Aug. 15th baby. Called the midwife, heard the words "Need you to come in in case your water broke...", had a few hours of panic while I sat at camp knowing that when I went to my appointment we may end up staying there having our baby. Then...got to our appointment to find that there was absolutely nothing wrong and I didn't even really need to be there. Our older midwife who I talked to on the phone likes to panic and called me in...the younger midwife that I love was who we had our appointment with said she wouldn't have even had me come in. She also supported my decision that I do not wish to be checked until I am actually at the hospital thinking I am in labor. I really appreciate them allowing me to do that. I know you can walk around at 3cm forever and I know myself and know that the second I know that, life as I know it will pause while I waste my time away just waiting and getting antsy. It's getting so close now though!!!

Matt thinks my belly has dropped and I felt that this morning as well. And I've also been nesting like crazy!

Looking Forward to: August 15th (or sooner). At this point, we are just hoping we make it to 37 weeks and then I want her out. We are so ready in every way. I even feel fully confident right now with labor and delivery and all scenarios there. Just feeling very ready.
